Kirsters Baish| It’s no secret that the mainstream media isn’t the biggest fan of President Donald Trump. They have done just about everything they can do in order to smear his name and turn Americans against him, but it’s going to be hard for them to say anything negative when they see what he did for the first responder officers that saved Congressman Scalise’s life and the lives of others that were in the area during the horrible shooting that took place during a softball game at a local park in Alexandria, Virginia a couple of months ago.
President Trump held a meeting including all of the first responders along with Scalise’s wife, Jennifer. He wanted everyone to be there when he made his big move. President Trump truly honored these men and women, showing them the upmost respect. He gave ALL of the first responders the Medal of Valor.
You can watch the video of the touching meeting below:
President Trump presented the Medal of Valor to two Capitol Police Special Agents, David Bailey and Crystal Griner, along with three Alexandria Police Department Officers, Nicole Battaglia, Kevin Jobe, and Alexander Jensen. This is the highest honor that a civilian officer could ever receive.
President Trump told the story of courage and extreme bravery that these officers displayed during the shooting. He explained that even when charging through raining bullets, these officers put their lives on the line to save members of Congress, family members of Congressmen, and everyone else who was attending the softball game. They did everything they had to, including taking bullets, to take down the shooter. Special Agent Crystal Griner was shot during the occurrence, but successfully saved Scalise. She put her life on the line to save his. She truly deserves the Medal of Valor.
We are so grateful to the men and women who put their lives on the line every single day for the rest of us. Our men and women in blue deserve the proper recognition, and we are so glad to see that President Trump presented these five heroes with the Medal of Valor.
